When I was a teenager, I “borrowed” my mom’s soft, comfy sundress—with pockets! It felt like freedom, joy, and belonging all at once. I tried to steal it. My mom fought back. Eventually, we agreed to share it. That dress has lasted 24 years, carrying memories, comfort, and connection through every season of my life.
That feeling sparked an idea: What if every proud South African woman, mom, sister, aunt, bokkie could have her own forever-dress?
A dress that feels like home. One that says you belong.

Meet the team
Hello! I’m a design student with big dreams and a slightly emptier wallet than I’d like. I started this adventure wanting to earn some extra cash, have fun with friends, and learn how to run a business before I graduate.
What started as a personal dream quickly became something much bigger: a chance to create a movement for women who want to rock style, comfort, and pride all in one dress.
BRIDGET
Hi! I’m Bridget’s mom — and when she asked me to back her dream, I knew I had to say yes. After years of telling her to embrace life’s opportunities, it was my turn to practice what I preach! Now I’m learning alongside these amazing women, navigating the ups and downs of running a small South African business. It’s not always easy, but it’s energizing, real, and so worth it. I’m excited to be part of the Rokkie Revolution!

I am a creative student and love drawing and coming up with new designs and ideas.
When Bridget asked me if I wanted to be a part of the Bokkie Rokkie team, I immediately said yes. I wanted to learn how to start a business with the help of her mom and was looking forward to working with such an amazing group of women.

Hi there! I am Amber. I’m studying Illustration and became a part of this project through my dear friend Bridget.
I love that this is an experience where I can learn about how to start a business and implement my design skills. All while having fun with friends and earning some money!
